Eh?
Those exercises you mention actually contain plenty of eccentric contractions, right?
If you were to train purely concentric you'd have to go with squatting/deadlifting from pins for instance
Might be wrong.

No, they don't! The sled doesn't pull you back after you take a step.
When pin squatting/deadlifting you'd still have to lower the weight back to the pins -> eccentric.

Sleds are great when raining around an injury and that you wont get as sore as from exercises containing eccentric motion.

I have invisible VMO on my right leg. It's visible when the leg is flexed, but when it's extended you can barely see it. So much vastus lateralis.

damn.. i'd say i'm mostly vmo, pic might not do it justice i dno, but my vmo definitely outshines my VL by a big margin..i'm the complete opposite of u.

Well that explains why you're jumping so much higher than me off two feet. Any ideas on how to get that VMO bigger? Maybe using a more narrower stance in the squats? How about other exercises?

narrow stance half/quarter squats/pin squats

Damn, that looks real bad!

see a doc to make sure that your ligaments are okay!

I was abt to bug u for next week's work, till I got myself hurt again.

Landed badly while tryin to lay one on a transition with 2 guys on me. Rolled my right ankle fucking bad. :(

gawd, the gods are really conspiring against me.. Stayed mostly healthy the whole year, only to exp 2 setbacks, one immed after the other.
damn, that sucks!

but you can still do one legged squats with the other leg and train upper body :strong:

i want a big dog, just like ^ Tyco from the movie "Life Is Ruff". I like all kind of dogs, so it doesnt really matter. My girlfriend wants a small dog, pug or jack russel terrier, which i think both are great, especially those jack russel terriers. They are always full of energy  :headbang:
