WTC?  How the hell do you recover working out at 1am and when the hell do you sleep?  Do you work or are you in school or something?  Man, I would die if I tried to get on your schedule!

Nutrition & Supplementation / Re: Adding muscle while losing fat

ha, nope, I'm a structural engineer.  I was an Active Army Officer and I was in charge of Ranger and Sapper training for new Army officers.  I had to research a lot of stuff about physical fitness and nutrition.  I also got to go to a lot of seminars like crossfit, army combatives, endurance training and nutrition, etc.

Anyhow, long story short, I'm just like everyone here I suspect.  Found somebody that knows their ish (ADARQ, Lance, Kingfish, etc) and listen to what they say.

Is dietary cycling and periodization out of fashion now?  I've always been a big believer in the statement that  nutrition should be like your training program.  Meaning it should be phased and there should be a reason and a strategy to how you eat.  I mean, you wouldn't train ME every single day, so why would you eat low carb/high protein or whatever all the time?

11/22/2010

bw = 157 b4shitz, 155 after
soreness = not much
aches/injuries = back
fatigue = low

diet = protein shake + 2 tspn coffee, jumps/dunks, protein shake, chipotle, training, protein shake, protein shake + pb sandwhich

workout #1: jumps/dunks
- first max jump of the day was the best of the day, wtf?

workout #2: strength
- C1: backward drop: 18 @ 3 x5, 24x5, 32x5, 34 x 3,       36 x 3, 3, 3, 3,            03, 03, 03          03,
- C1: SSBAR DL: 75 @ 3 x 10, 165 x 5, 215 x 5, 235 x 5,  255 @ 5, 5, 5, 5,      235 @ 10, 10, 10    215 @ 10, 10, 10, 10

originally i thought i was doing 235, 215, etc.. i miscounted on the weight, so, trying to keep my back safer because of the injury, i end up doing 255 @ 4 x 5 with speed thinking it was 235....... eh.. weird, dumb slipup but it worked out for the best.

backward depth drop off 36" was intense but i stuck most all of them, strong sets.

peace

Dude, you don't eat very much at all!  I would be freakin Zombie ravenous after a day like that!  Anyhow, I wanted to ask you two things: First, what do the 03s at the end of your Depth Drop sets mean?
Second, by my count you did like 135 Deadlifts?  Holy crap, that's huge volume!  Are you able to bend over and pick up the remote after that?
