I'm reading through t-nation articles about the subject...

http://www.t-nation.com/free_online_article/most_recent/front_squats_made_easier

Any other advice? I have very long forearms so the bar would have to sit in the middle of my neck if it is to stay on the fingers... but I'm also unflexible in the upperbody.

So who knows what my problems are.

If you have long forearms you just place your hands wider on the bar. That's covered in Starting Strength, I think. Look up the mobility wod stuff for rack position, he's got a bunch of videos about it.

how is this thread three days old and no one has posted a kf squat yet?

because front angles look better

edit: this led me to watch the only publicly viewable video kf has up. It's highly recommended.

Anyone know any good sources/articles discussing the relationship between these? Like hypothetically if I got a wicked good side split and front split, would that make my active straddle (i.e. in front lever, back lever and planche) much wider? Would my squats be way better?

Looks like 10-11% bodyfat to me.

no way, I agree with chris

1422
Would that mean that being heavy will inevitably make you stronger?

No. (If p then q) does not imply (if q then p).

Looks to me like both of the squats posted by Entropy have the knee action Dan Green spoke about at the beginning of the concentric.

What is a "goober"? It's like some sort of Word Police and Certified Asshole?

It's kind of like a doofus but with some goofball thrown in.
