Niiiice.

How high is the bottom of the backboard plus pad? Looks like you are about at where the pad connects to backboard.

dno, bottom of backboard pad is prolly < 9', like 8'10" or something, i imagine the actual bottom of that backboard is 9' though, the pad is added inches.. definitely above the pad tho.

hehe

Almost ready to decapitate yourself with the rim? No?

not yet unfortunately hah..

bad jumping today though, when it rains & then i have to jump there, everything gets fubar'd.

some pics from tonight, went bad, i mean, it rained everywhere so i had to goto the outdoor roof'd court, which is always packed, so i had to get jumps in after a game and then while the game was going on eh... bleh.. other court had some young kid bball practice going on, then from 8:45 to 9pm (lights off) they just stood there on the court giving their little motivational speeches, while other people could have been using the court.. bums.

hit my head on that backboard pad pretty hard on this first pic..

bad reach pic, i mean, i just walked by trying to reach up, lameness.

The reason Zach gets made fun of is because Rippetoe bragged about how much muscle and how little fat he put on.  Rippetoe is the reason the kid gets made fun of online, because he was bragging about the Aesthetic part of it. If he just talked about how he got his squat up 200 pounds in 6 months, then nobody would care.

Rip was claiming like 45 pounds of muscle and 20 pounds of fat or something ridiculous like that.

:highfive:

steven-miller, i'm not making fun of Zach one bit, but the fact is that's what happens when you bulk dirty. He might not care one bit about any of that, but that has no bearing on what actually happened to his physique during that bulk.. Lots of people think you have to stuff your face to put on some decent mass, and end up going down the road he took to put on mass, usually not to that extent, but that "well i'll put on fat with muscle then cut (edit:) fat" ideology is definitely the most common among athletes trying to put on mass, imo.

This is old news bruh, I saw this shit when it came out.

I side with the young guy even though he is obnoxious. Old people always think they can tell younger people what to do.

cool story bro

on a serious note, that guido douche was yelling out obscenities between points, tennis isn't the place for "OH COME THE FUCK ON" & shit like that, neither are baseball games or football games, but it's far more likely to happen at baseball/football games, which have kids around etc.. I remember being a young kid going to baseball games and trashy jerks like that would be cursing their brains out, and my dad would get into big heated confrontations with them, it was not fun.. I hate people like that, so I side with the old man & his daughter or whatever. People like that should be kicked out, or beat the fuck down, for example, I loved it when ron artest ran up in the stands with the intention of fucking that guy up who threw the drink on him, these people in the stands think they are athletes, it's pathetic.

It's interesting because (again I'm mentioning this) back in the day I used to do sets of 50 bodyweight squats. Coincidentally or not, I could "load" much better back then (I could feel the muscles compress and release force more then than just a rigid body).

nice, maybe u should experiment with that some time again.. just incorporate, prior to actual squatting etc.. so you're doing both.

People who have tiny calves usually have long tendons and can run fast and jump high.

yup :)

they're uber small. ideas?  :(

are you a bodybuilder ??? if not, then don't worry about it much.. just do calf raises/reactive work/jumps/sprints to get them stronger.. if you're trying to get huge calfs for bodybuilding, good luck, its tough, you're going to have to do lots of very heavy negatives on calf raise and crap like that, which is risky for athletes.
