colon-enclosed emoticons ftw. annoying for any sentence ending in "...8)" to show up as a smiley face when what I want is the number eight and then a close paren.

</whine>

true.. i need to make them all preceded by a : or something.

adarq, for those AF sets, i've been doing it differently as u can see. total reps would be almost my max, but i cant do 1st set to AF, cos i know rep count for subsequent sets that follow would be bad, like for pullups, i bet it would be sth like mayb 10, 6, 4, 3...
is that a bad thing, my way of doing it? should i go for 3 sets of true AF?

i'd go true AF for sure.. regardless of not being able to hit as many reps in the next set, point is to work to almost-failure each set.

peace man

we got to heal that knee up man wtf !@$!

2nd ME jump day, had abit of knee tendonitis, max was 2 attempts which just got rim.  :(

weird thing was, i used to get the tendonitis in the left knee, now its the right.

say adarq, i know u said to ice it, but i cant do it immediately after workout, cos of no access to ice.
would it be alright if i get home and do it?

for this tendonitis thing, how does one alleviate it? i read somewhere that strengthening the muscles around would work, but i've been squatting and stuff, so :/

how do u guys ice ur knees? i iced my ankles when i sprained it in the past with towels and ice, made a wet mess.
thinking of getting one of those gel pack things...

damn tendonitis wtf???? bleh!! have you been warming up good?

ya man ice it when you get home.. just put the ice in a plastic bag and either lie on it or wrap it around using an ace bandage or something..

how long has this tendonitis been bugging you ?

lol @ toney fight.. i still give him props, it was inevitible he would just get smashed.

man edgar is the pacquiao of mma, what a monster.. so much movement, power, conditioning.. great boxing.. i mean he dominated bj penn completely.. i was amazed. props to him

lauzon was impressive but he fought rudiger so :/

nate diaz always impresses me.. man he's a monster.. same with nick.. they just slug it out with weird oldschool boxing and either wreck you up, or get tagged then submit you when you think you have them..

florian was disappointing.

i had a big cardio workout about 2.5 hours so thats why i havn't been on, after UFC.

8/28/2010

bw = 159
soreness=  none
aches/injuries = none

workout #1: dunks - flyin
- vid soon

workout #2: cardio
- 8 mile walk with "form sprints mixed in"
- form sprints were anywhere from 40-200 meters or so.. really working on firing the glute and cycling over, pawing the ground and pulling myself instead of any push running.. felt great, lots of bounce
- BW after cardio was 154 lool

gonna upload vid b4 i sleep, felt like editing something.. this shit is 1 hour of work so im kinda happy with it

bw = 160
soreness = none
aches/injuries = left hamstring tendon a little, back a bit tight, left calf tight sometimes..

workout:
- ~8 mile walk with very light ~30-40 yard "sprints" mixed in... about 20 of those sprints total.. very light though.
- weight before workout: 163, after: 157
- after protein shake/bananas/water: 162

tomorrow it's forecasted to rain, could ruin my dunk session, hope it doesn't rain :/

starting tomorrow i'm going to do dunk + sprint + cardio, sprint + cardio, sprint + power + strength, optional walk or repeat

^^ idea is to get more cardio in.. i need to drop bodyfat more than anything right now so i think i need a 2:1 ratio of cardio to strength, rather than the 1:1 which i've been doing.. this will allow me to squat more frequently too possibly..

peace

yo adarq on the bodyweight plan we doing this week, i dont wanna pay 10 bucks to go to the gym and only use the sl hyper extension bench. its a bit of a waste of $. can we replace sl hypers with something else? we were doing 4x10, 4x8, and 3x5 on a,b,and c for hypers.  check my learning journal for the full workout.

responded on teh irc's.
