wtf... it looked kinda hard at the start so I thought it would be really really hard... of course I knew she was going to make it because of the video title but otherwise I would've thought she stops at around 6 or so.

Ya thats why I posted it, I didnt see her getting 20 after those first 2 at ALL, she showed some heart there for sure.

Plus she looks nice both from behind and from the front :P

It depends on what you understand as "plyos" and how much of an explosive deficit you have (strength vs actual display of strength).

If you have a big squat and you still kinda jump low for your strength then you might focus more on plyos. Also, again, plyos could mean a handful of things.

To make yourself an idea about where you are use the VJ calculator on Kelly's site (it works really really well for me):

http://www.higher-faster-sports.com/verticaljumpcalculator.html

What I refer to by plyos are depth jumps, bounds and maximal jumps to the rim.

Weirdness, CNS was shutting me down, it wouldn't even allow me to jump: As i was compressing in the jump stop, i would just decelerate and stop , i just couldn't push off!

That usually happens to me when I use a speed I'm not able to control, or when I'm tired from all the jumps I did beforehand, or both.

I just tense up and lock myself to the ground.

I will try not slow down intentionally, just run out, emphasize large steps rather than slow arm swings but not too much to over emphasize. Training today.

Thanks for the help

p.s. i will try get on to a track and they should have blocks available for me to use this year.

Where did you get "large steps" from?  You dont want to over stride... Focus on running fast and explosive, do your form drills, and dont over think it.

If I do this and don't actively think about elongating my strides... I just do very short quick steps. Don't know what seifullaah73 does but that's what I do.

I think you were right when you said you started to use a longer amotization and depend more on the quads and less on your ankles/calves which are worse developed than the quads in your case.

How much is a jump mat by the way?

i remember this session, i felt like i was going to just fly, too bad my ham pulled... single leg.. trying to become single leg was tough.. those hamstring/quad "pulls/cramps" really wrecked my leg

Yeah I guess a very good balance between the quads and the hamstrings is needed for one leg jumps. If the hamstring is weak then you will collapse in the plant and the collapse will be disguised as a quad weakness, when in fact the quads are being overloaded because the hamstring is too weak and to relieve tension off it the knees will go forward and overload the quads...

It's taken me a while to figure this out but this is actually the truth of the matter.

Maybe I should focus much more on hamstring development in my own training if I want good one-leg jumps. That and calf development.
