i might do a mile race in december. 2 years ago i ran it in like 6:40 lol (slow for me). last year it was cancelled as well as another one i wanted to do, due to hurricanes. it's a race i've done a few times way back, got like 5:02 once in it lol and got like 8th or something, super fast race.

i run pretty often but only 1-3 miles, usually after farming all day and then putting animals away for the night. i feel like i could go under 6 but no idea of my pace, since i don't use any feedback mechanisms anymore (which i prefer lately).

been finishing runs with speed (like hard last quarter, half, or mile etc). sometimes feel really good, sometimes feel like pewp

those tweaks can definitely contribute a lot to the fall offs you experienced. i mean your body basically downshifts unless you try to smash right through it (which is not good to do in looong races).

and if your legs end up feeling "great" afterwards, that's some really good fitness \o/

i built this recently for the goats! it's basically done, just needs a few more finishing things. but it's useable, been using it for 3 weeks \o/

yo !! sorry folks. like i'll come on and mean to post/reply, then i get sidetracked with stuff (mostly work related), and i disappear.

yea i'm good! though I got the flu this week.

and we had some hours of down time this morning, linode DHCP issue (region-wide). WE BACK.

and ya I love working on my trucks and farming. been trying to run once a week still, mostly on sunday. i can still run several miles really slow hah. I do dips every time i leave the house too. still haven't done pullups - that bicep tendinitis was major major. that's basically what wrecked me. i was having fun getting really strong, and then boom, couldnt bend my elbow without pain for like 8 months. it was the combo of high freq pullups/dips and then throwing in intense farm stuff (like pick axing and shoveling). the farm stuff just sent it over the edge.

good news is that my elbow hasn't hurt for a few months, but i still haven't tested a single pullup. only doing dips for now (which used to hurt badly, no pain now).

work has been absolutely crazy. and then farm/truck/hobby stuff soaks up a lot of the rest of the time.

been meaning to post more & always keep getting pulled away. will try tho.

Coges, ya hah. luckily she was unharmed by my dogs. i'm sure they knew she was out, so that's cool.

man these chickens/ducks are a lot of work.. LOL

i been leaving them outside on the back porch, when i wfh. they love it outside lmao. need to build them a really secure enclosure soon.
