Just throwing up some vids from today's workout. You cant really see what weight i am using as the gym is pretty dark but will get a better angle with better lighting tomorrow.

Bench - 120kg + 20kg of chain (Working on technique today)

Nutrition & Supplementation / Pre/Post workout Supplements

What is everyone taking for pre/post workout supplements, if at all? Right now i am doing this:

1st half of training: 1/2 serving of biotest surge workout fuel with 24g whey
2nd half of training:1/2 serving of biotest surge workout fuel.
Immediately after training: 50g whey
1-1.30h after - Post workout meal with 50g protein and 50-80g carbs

Will throw in a serving of surge recovery and 12g whey before heavy squats. Like dong this as i have tons of energy and i am able to maintain/increase strength while dropping fat slowly.

During my bodybuilding days i have done this with great results in strength and size:

30 mins before: 2 scoops of biotest surge workout fuel
15 mins before: 2 scoops biotest surge recovery
During: 1 scoop of biotest surge recover + 12g of whey
Immediately after: 50g whey
1-1.30h after - Post workout meal with 50g protein and 50g carbs.

I thought the above protocol was great for adding size and strength with minimal fat gain, but was expensive though!

Ok, so decided to start a journal. A am currently training to increase my vert and hopefully get back into basketball after the summer, i have about 9 weeks or so to get back to jumping 37" like i was in 2008 or better. Anyway a few stats:

Weight: 205lbs
Height: 6ft
Squat: 440lbs
Deadlift: 585lbs
Bench: 310lbs
Vert: low 30"s from one step

My training will look like this

M- DE Lower Body
T- ME Upper Body
W- Off
T- ME Lower Body
F- DE Upper Body
S- Low impact plyo's, dunks etc.

Will also do some plyo's before weights on a Thursday and Saturdays session will depend on DOMS from Thursday and how i feel basically.

Introduce Yourself / Hey

Hey, just joined recently and thought i would introduce myself and throw up some stats. Don't know if anyone remembers me actually, used to post on the vertical summit years ago when it first started. Anyway used to play basketball alot and trained to increase my vert. Back at the start of 2008 i had a vert of 37" and was shooting for 40"  until i gave bodybuilding a shot. Fast forward two years and i am sick of carrying to much mass and want to shoot for that 40" vert again. Here are some of my stats:

Weight: 205lbs
Height: 6ft
Squat: 440lbs
Deadlift: 585lbs
Bench: 310lbs
Vert: Unsure but was hitting the low 30"s in the gym today off one step.

The squat and deadlift where both done at a body weight of 222lbs but hit a 420lb squat for four reps a few weeks ago, so strength is still there while i am trying to get lean.  Btw the site is looking good!
