Been really busy lately with college and started doing some personal training, so have had quite a few clients so not had time to myself apart from lifting lol. Basketball and vert training have took a back seat just now due to the time consrtaints so i have just been lifting heavy and getting out of the gym asap. Going to start wendlers 531 tomorrow, this will enable me to get in and out of the gym as quick as possible. Although i havent been training for vert since christmas , my standing is u and can now dunk from a standstill so its all good. Bodyweight is up to 205lbs without any major increase in body fat, and the new gym is awseome. Anyway here are some recent PR's

Squat: 220kg (485lbs) x 1
Deadlift: 260kg (573lbs) x 1
Bench: 150kg (330lbs) x 1
Overhead Press: 90kg (198lbs) x 1

So for wendlers 531, i will have a bench day, overhead press day, Deadlift day and a squat day and all will have 3-4 accessory movements. Accessories wont be set in stone and will go for feel and the day. Training times will change and can only work out at 7.30am and sessions will last between 60-90 mins depending on how busy my schedule is for that day. Will try to post in my journal, if not daily then weekly where i have enough time at the weekends just now.

Upper

Bench + 20kg of chain

100kg x 2, 110kg x 2, 120kg x 1 - failed on 2nd due to loosing tightness.

Bent over Row

100kg x 8, 120kg x 8, 110kg x 8, 120kg x 8

DB Over Head Press

32.5kg DB's x 8, 37.5kg DB's x 8, 40kg DB's x 6, 32.5kg DB's x 12

Tbar Row

100kg x 8, 120kg x 8, 120kg x 8, 100kg x 10

Tate Press

15kg DB's x 8, 17.5kg DB's x 8, 20kg DB's x 8, 22.5kg DB's x 8, 20kg DB's x 8

Incline DB Curl

17.5kg DB's x 8, 20kg DB'sx 8, 22.5kg DB's x 8, 20kg DB's x 8

Not too bad today. Benched sucked though, was feeling crappy when i wok this morning and felt ill so effected my bench. Lost tightness really easy so stopped after i failed on what should have been and easy 2nd rep. Started to feel better as the workout progressed. BO row went well, as well as t bar rows. Form was loose on both heavier sets though. Back was trashed after T bars. Overhead press went well, and i think that might have tied a PR. Vid of bench hasn't been uploaded yet, but will post as soon as my training partner uploads it. Lower to come tomorrow, going to start jumps again.

Goals by the end of 2011:

Rvj - 40"+
Squat - 240kg (530lbs)
Trap Bar DL - 272kg (600lbs)
Bench - 184kg (405lbs)
Enter a powerlifting comp and win.
Be able to squat ATG.
Improved hip mobility and flexibility.

Current:

Rvj: 36"
Squat - 210kg (462lbs)
Trap Bar DL - 246kg (541lbs)
Bench - 150kg (330lbs)

Seems a little optimistic, especially the bench, but technique needs improving on all lifts which I am currently working on.

Had to go into windows movie maker for this to increase the brightness as the gym was too dark. My training partner has a better quality cam so hopefully better quality vids to come.

Where are you working out at?

I see the rings, I have a set too!  Their awesome, have you got a muscle up yet?  I'm pretty close, I can get a kipping one but no dead hang, YET!  I was also wondering if you ever try ring dips?  Those freakin kill.

Cool vids bro, I'll be weighting for the one where you pick up a VW Beetle!

Thanks dude!

Its a place called Varsity in Scotland, its pretty hidden and was hard to find lol

Not tried a muscle up yet, will try tomorrow though. Yeah done ring dips and they are awesome!
