Best, most intense, most in depth, longest dream ever last night. It felt like it lasted about three days. I do not remember many details, but I will try and outline it.

I am at a "party" with some friends, which is odd, as I hate parties, but I digress. It is a beach or pool party. I am in some shed outside with the people who appear to be my closest friends. We are smoking a pipe, next to some hydroponic set up. The dad of my friend who is hosting the party knocks on the door. We try to hide everything, but he comes in before we got the chance to. He flips out at us. He is a cop with the local homicide department. This part of the dream ends here.

I wake up. It is about 10 years later. I am now a cop in the homicide department of some ritzy seaside city. My bedroom is fancy as shit. Huge bed, silver duvet on a black, fabric coated frame. Baby blue carpet. Sliding white wardrobe doors. I walk out of my bedroom. It opens practically straight onto a flight of stairs, much like these:

The stairs a perpendicular to the wall though, and end in the middle of a large room. The room is a combined living room and kitchen. I get dressed, light blue shirt, a pair of chinos. There is a thin, long haired, brunette woman in the kitchen. She is my room-mate and my partner for investigations.

The dream from then is more blurry, but I can remember the plot, roughly.

We are called to investigate three murder scenes, each of the bodies has a note nearby. The note contains some immensely difficult word puzzle. Solving the puzzles leads us to the killer. There is a chase scene. Turns out he was the dad at the party. We lose him. He was bullied in school. We find the house in the city furthest away from all the schools, or something along those lines. Find the murderer there. ???. Profit.
