i can't stand Mike Mayock, he's the most annoying motherfu*ker. Just yaps about all kinds of shit unrelated to the athletes performing.

before sleep:
- legs feel so good it's crazy
- feeling a little "worked out" feeling in my hams/glutes, from lunges
- i imagine i'll feel something in my right knee tmw morning at some point .. going to try and go light though and try to avoid making it surface. well, it's surfaced going light (like post 10k light run), so who knows. if it's "intense" at all, will shut it down.

plan tmw is (hold back) track workout + moderate tempo finisher @ like 6:30-6:40 min/mi on turf (~4+ mi)

gn!!

Split Second Timing counted down to start the race. The first runner, Andrew Darqui, crossed the finish line at 18:05. Chris Oesch and Robert Leaf finished close behind at 19:35 and 19:52, respectively. Sharon Khalil and Christine Hiler were the top 2 female racers with times of 22:49 and 24:03. The third place female, Melanie Cambridge, finished with a time of 28:49.

In honor of #motivationmonday.....3 months ago I broken my collar bone half way into my trip to Thailand. I was really lucky there was no more damage which could have left me paralyzed or even worst losing my life. I consider myself very lucky. I went on with my trip and had a lot of fun and met great people. However when it was time to come home, I was devastated and wasn’t sure what will happen. I had to get back to training and I couldn’t even put on shoes due to my injured foot as well. The holidays were not good for me and I was depressed. I took off one month completely and being rushed to having to train again, I took the risk and began. With my figure 8 shoulder straps on I started to jog very easy. I jogged a couple of weeks and then all of a sudden jumped into full blown out marathon training, I had to get ready for #LondonMarathon. In the past 7 weeks I have gotten in 6 weeks @ 100 miles. I could have given up and retired, it’s not like I have been at the top of my game the past couple years, but I didn’t want to go out like this. I have made a great recovery and I can now lift things. I am still recovering though. I will soon begin my yoga practice again with #ccyoga, can’t wait! What has kept me motivated...I owe a lot to going back to college to finish up my degree. It kept me from slipping into a dark place. Everything happens for a reason. All I know is that no matter what happens, I won’t give up. All we can do is the best we can in our given situation. It’s been fun seeing my improvement, excited for the next couple of months! .

Conor vs Mayweather Jr. in MMA, would hopefully be illegal... it's that unfair. Conor could "legit kill" PBF, within a minute, in a "real fight" (MMA style).

KF-- I can't believe you only take 136g of protein per day. I had thought you took 200g+. I think you used to, is it unnecessary to take that much protein? I remember when I used to take 190g+ per day at 175-185lb bw, a lot of that protein seems to get wasted and body doesn't absorb it....

protein shakes make me feel full longer without adding so many calories. that's probably the most benefit i get from eating protein shakes. i don't feel any stronger or thicker when i go very high dosages of protein.

same.. my final conclusion is that whey protein does absolutely nothing for me. absolute 0. I don't think it repairs anything, promotes growth of anything, or is in any way real food. For me personally, it feels completely useless.

I could drink 4 whey shakes in almond milk (not real milk, otherwise it would be effective) and it does nothing .. then I can eat 4 eggs and feel strong, recover faster, etc.

On a related note: that "3fuel" company wanted to "sponsor" me (product ambassador style), but I just can't commit to promoting their supps when I just find whey protein so useless. I mean some whey protein supps taste good, but that's about it. There's an enormous difference between how I feel eating chicken, eggs, meat, and/or milk, vs protein + water. Protein + water might as well just be water.

Also your log is just so damn nuts - pure beastmode with all of these doubles. stating the obvious, yet again.

peace!

ya dude supps (pre/post/whatever) are full of sketchy shit. i've never seen a box of crackers with the insane ingredient label of most supps. fuck supps.

I like acole's advice.

If you have kidney issues, I'd be staying the hell away from pre-workouts. I doubt they're more effective than having a strong coffee 30min before.

keeping it simple is the best way to go .. coffee is rocket fuel.

Good point from FP @ "your stance adjusts itself based on your strength levels". It's a non-ballistic movement (static position) so, you can still try and control your position, but if you don't have the strength to maintain such positions, won't be able to do it. There are things he could try and improve though, like tucking his head and getting a bit more of his weight on his hand.

Also one thing that I forgot to mention, is simply TEAM. You train alone primarily afaik - would be nice to find some more people to train with. Doing starts with a few other people or a group is much different than doing them loner-style. So beyond all of the specific training concepts, simply having people out there to push yourself against could quite possibly be the best training method. :ninja: :ibrunning:

Together Everyone Achieves More is no joke. Training with a pack, especially w/ running/sprinting, is extremely effective.
