How's your 40 yard dash going?

Havent tested, but i've sprinted at least 2-3 times a month in the last year. Im quite sure i'm faster than regular people that don't take vertical/sprinting serious.... like on a full court dash or breakway i am faster than them....

Oct 13:

135 x 3, 8

225 x 3, 8

315 x 1, 2

365 x 1 (full pause 2 sec) back felt a bit weak.

Weight 217.

I may have done 225 x 18  two session earlier in a workout but i don't recall..... that was helpful

someone once said someone will get killed in MMA one day..... i think it's definitely not impossible.... seeing the way things progress.... more drama, more rivalry, more ego, stronger tactics...... it's a matter of time, could be next 2 years, could be in 200 years...... but i think it'll happen some time.... mma and boxing is no joke, unlike wwe.....

Dec 31, will see if I can get down to 190lb by than and maintain 365-405 squat, hopefully at least 365......

As weather is fall now, more time indoors, more food, sometimes drinking and watching tv is a temptation....

2 days ago:

135 x 3, 5, 8

225 x 1, 3, 15

315 x 1, 3

FS 135 x 4

haven't really done FS much, it can really be TAXING on the knees....

I remember when I PR FS for 315..... that wwhen I was strongest, but knees started aching when I used to do 3-4 sets of FS.....

Last time I checked I was at 22-23in svj. So I lost about 1-2 inches of vertical jump over the last year. Couldnt really train the last 3 weeks because of tendinitis.

Ah that's too bad mate. I'm away at the moment with limited wifi access so haven't responded, but I had a massive testing fail anyway. Went down to the courts early but I forgot it was school holidays - it was swarming rather than the typical 0-1 other players at that time. I ended up playing about 100 1v1 games with some 12yo kids  Too crowded to really test svj properly and couldn't film, but I got some good ~35'' dsvjs once i got warmed up. So definitely not close to 37'' svj anyway.

I'm going to keep training like this at least until the end of the year as I'm only really hitting my stride now. I'm also planning on getting to the court once a week before work if possible. So if you want, keep it up and we'll see where we're at Dec 31st.

Your vertical and squat video looked really good. Dec 31st might be a much better time for me to see where i can get in terms of vertical jump.

i wonder if don mitchell is going to continue to gain up mass while losing lower mass.... as time continues in the nba.   louiville trains players the right way.... look at the athleticism of all the players that come out of louiville....

i hope don mitchel doesnt end up being heavier and heavier from the upper workouts that most of the stupid nba trainers make them do and just bodweight squats and shit.

315 x 3, 365 x 2, not too hard...... didn't lose too much strength after 3 weeks off.....

leborn james is 6'8 with a good wing span.... he doesn't really NEED a 43 in vertical to take over.... he can get by with a 35' vertical.....
