- knee PT

- climb x 1.5 hours

seems like you might benefit from some improvements to your diet. lot of junk food, lot of sugar, not many vegetables or fruits or legumes. would be interesting to see if your health improves (your immediate health, like getting sick or feeling fatigued) if you made an effort to clean it up and diversify it a bit.

i say that with no judgment: i also eat too much sugar and not enough protein. just a thought.

No offense taken at all. My diet is so bad right now and I feel like I eat dumb shit out of convenience. Last year this time, I was eating pretty clean. I felt way better and I was way more lean. Definitely going to try to work to get away from eating all the "shit" I eat again.

So yeah...going to try to clean it up. I probably need to find a way to assess my fitness too. I pretty go off of how I'm feeling when I play sports, but it's not really quantifiable. Like at least test vertical jump or something. I am not particularly concerned with how much I can lift as much as I am with how I perform functionally.

Fitness

Weight 2025-04-18: 167.4
Weight change from yesterday: -1.3
Sleep time: 7h22m
Garmin sleep score (out of 100): 55
Garmin body battery (out of 100): 52

Total steps: 5423
Total distance: 2.8 mi

Weightlifting: None
Other physical activity: 5 games 6v6 volleyball

Body status: Fucked from drinking two beers after volleyball. I felt way better playing volleyball. This is most likely because I was sick last week and didn't really think so, and I seem to be getting over it now. But I had very poor sleep quality last night. Overall I really feel okay today, but not optimal due to alcohol consumption.

Food

Breakfast: None
Lunch: Spicy salmon sushi
Dinner: Pork tenderloin, spicy Cheez-its, oatmeal creme pie
Other: Some cinnamon sugar crackers
Drink: 16oz white Monster Energy, water, Bai drink
Alcohol: 2 Easy Eddys

Other

No drinking tonight or possibly the entire weekend to get back on track. Possible lifting tonight since my body feels better. Playing golf tomorrow. Alcohol is alright in the moment but the aftermath is awful even if you're not feeling "hungover".

- dreadmill "hill" run x 36:57, 8.01 km (4 miles)

- climb x 40 mins
fingers weak.

- knee PT

woke up this morning with my back feeling strained. right side, about halfway down. not sure what happened there, didn't have any acute pain during climbing.

Fitness

Weight 2025-04-17: 168.7
Weight change from yesterday: NA
Sleep time: 7h37m
Garmin sleep score (out of 100): 82
Garmin body battery (out of 100): 64

Total steps: 13104
Total distance: 8.4 mi

Weightlifting: None
Other physical activity: Soccer with kids

Body status: Still sort of sick. Annoying. Interested in seeing how the legs feel tonight at volleyball. Feel okay otherwise. Body battery has actually gone up during the day and is only at 61 right now. Only a 3 point drop since waking up.

Food

Breakfast: None
Lunch: French dip and pub fries
Dinner: Two soft shell tacos, some doritos
Other: Some peanut/M&M mix, not much of it
Drink: 16oz white Monster Energy, water, Diet Pepsi
Alcohol: 1 Strawberry Rhubarb New Glarus beer

Other

Felt like shit at volleyball last week, and I play again tonight, so I am interested to see how my legs feel with basically nothing but rest when it comes to lifting. I do feel like I have been drained by the cold, so I am hoping that since I seem like I’m on the back side of it, I will feel better when playing. But who knows. Will report back tomorrow.

Run -- 9.63k, 1:00:28

Notes

6:16 pace, so like 15-30s faster than usual easy runs, but still 135 avg HR, nice nice nice. Despite that, legs do still feel pretty tired!
