Soreness in quads (I think from foam rolling), hamstrings and shins/ankles/feet (I think from practice).

Nah , on the contrary , think about it , in vacations being younger you consume much more junk food and alcohol...  ;)

Yeah but you can get away with eating anything when you're 18 haha. When I was 17 and 18 I ate like a gallon of jello a week, sometimes with soft serve ice cream on top. Did not gain a pound that year.

Haha  i was referring to "younger" as mid 20's :D
Now besides joking , nutrients partitioning does change a lot , but you can still control things pretty well at my age. Takes much more effort for the same ( or actually a little worse ) results, but standard things/rules still work.

I think he might just be doing that thing that Chinese oly lifters do when they're repping out squats, you know, where they nod their head a little bit. The first guy in the video from a few posts ago does it at the bottom of his reps and Frank Yang does it, too, haha.

Yeah, why do you have your wrists folded like that and not rolled up to be straight with your forearms? Seems like you're putting way too much pressure on them, holding them under the bar like that.

Today:

Practice x2 hours. Ran all drills, was throwing pretty well, ankle felt solid. Didn't scrimmage at the end until the very end when people were leaving and I just went in in sneakers and jogged. Warm body. Upshot: I'm slow as crap and out of shape but I can do this.  :)

bench 5x185, 3x195, 5x205 -- should have gotten more but after practice... I'm not too pissed
